Kirk Rafferty was born in Japan, traveled around the world as a US Navy brat, and then spent 6 years seeing more of the world as a US Navy Cryptologic Technician (CTM). He obtained a degree in Computer Science from the University of Maryland and eventually settled down in Colorado to pursue a career in Information Technology. Kirk has been writing since childhood and is currently querying his debut novel.

Kirk is a sometimes executive producer, and won a Best Writing award in 2011 for the short film “Mad Fish” at the Denver 48 Hour Film Project, alongside his daughter Rylan Rafferty.

Kirk is a father to four fantastic children and resides in Colorado.

Kirk servers on the Rocky Mountain Fiction Writers Board of Directors as the Communications Co-Chair.
